Join me as I share my journey from first quilt to full time quilter.
As I show each quilt, I will share the story of its inspiration and my design process. You will hear how I plan my quilting, learn from my mistakes, and see how I've developed my own personal style as a designer.

Be prepared to laugh, ask questions, and shake your head in disbelief at the ridiculous pace of my quilting career so far!

A bit about Geeky Bobbin....

It took a few decades, but Bobbie Gentili finally found

the right outlet for her lifelong creativity and love of

mathematics when she was introduced to modern quilting.

She now spends every waking moment designing quilt patterns,

longarm quilting, pettingcurating beautiful fabrics, and sharing

her quilty adventures on Instagram at @geekybobbin and on her

website geekybobbin.com. Bob's patterns feature bold, geometric designs, playing with curves and long strips to give a sense of

movement. She finds inspiration in science, nature, and geeky culture.Bob lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where her husband,

2 young children, and cats enjoy any scraps of her attention that

can be stolen from quilting

This project is suitable for beginners or anyone who

has had previous hand applique experience and wishes

to continue on their journey.  You will learn the basics of "Prepared Edge Applique", a method that I love to teach!

It is wonderful to see students who have struggled with

other methods of hand applique catch on to this easy

and stress free method.
